The Nisshin OilliO Group Basic Policy on AI Use
The Nisshin OilliO Group (the “Group”) will utilize AI technology to enhance business value and resolve societal challenges, and through innovation will deliver value to customers and achieve sustainable growth. When utilizing AI, we will deploy a human-centered approach and promote safe, responsible use of AI under appropriate governance.
1. Pursuing a human-centered approach and transparency
The Group regards AI as a tool that complements human judgment, with humans making the final decisions. We will appropriately disclose information regarding the use of AI as necessary in an effort to maintain accountability.
2. Ensuring fairness
When utilizing AI, the Group will strive to ensure fairness so that no unfair discrimination or bias arises.
3. Ensuring safety
The Group will conduct appropriate analysis and verification of the inherent risks of AI to ensure safety.
4. Compliance with laws and regulations and respect for rights
The Group will comply with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the use of AI and respect rights, including intellectual property rights and privacy.
5. Managing information security
When utilizing AI, the Group will appropriately protect the confidential information and personal information of both the Company and third parties to ensure information security.
6. Human resource development
The Group will foster proper understanding of, and a sense of ethics regarding AI, and develop human resources capable of utilizing AI to tackle new challenges and create value.
We will continuously review and improve this Basic Policy in light of technological trends and changes in laws and regulations.
Established on March 23, 2026
